meet the artist
i am an animal and anthro artist and crafter of all sorts, and creating critters is my favorite!i go by she/pup/it, i'm a 26 year old therian artist, dog enthusiast & disabled critter out here doing my best. i live in a semi-rural area of massachusetts, and i find much of my inspiration in the forests and mountains around me. i am a strong advocate for finding and nurturing local community and taking care of your local ecosystems! i'm often out on hikes in the forest with my dog; foraging, fishing and bird-watching.
some days i stay home to sew, draw or pursue other various creative ventures.
i also spend some of my time working towards becoming a certified dog trainer with a specialty in service dogs. i try my best to make sure i spend some time outside every day by tending to the garden, i love getting to see the birds, bugs and critters that frequent it!

half / therian masks
when i first saw therian masks i fell in love with the concept; and then i was promptly heartbroken when i learned most of them were made on cat shaped paper mache (and now, sometimes plastic) masquerade mask bases. i couldn't help but get upset when i'd think to myself about all that hard work and gorgeous artistic execution going to waste, simply because the materials would never withstand the test of time. this lead to me creating a design for a half/therian mask bases designed entirely without the use of a cat mask, paper mache, cardboard, foam etc.i had some key points i made sure to keep in mind during the design process, i wanted the final masks to be...
✦ soft/flexible
✦ waterproof & machine washable
✦ made of long lasting + high quality materials
✦ form fitting
✦ true to the original "therian mask" stylethis process lead me to create a custom mask base design, made of sewn & hot glued stiffened felt; which is then fully furred and lined with spandex & minky. masks are worn via elastic straps in the back, the edges are all finished, and some masks have additional features like pose-able or weighted floppy ears, or extra long cheek fur tufts.
